HP Korea appoints Kang Yong-nam as new chief

HP Korea said on Tuesday it has appointed Kang Yong-nam as its new CEO. Kang will oversee HP Korea’s business, with plans to strengthen competitiveness across corporate and consumer markets centered on AI-based PCs and next-generation printing solutions. The company also plans to pursue an integrated solutions strategy aimed at improving productivity and security as AI and cloud-based work environments accelerate. Kang has more than 25 years of experience in the global IT industry.

Ensin signs 15.8 billion won AI agriculture platform supply deal, pushes Kosdaq listing

Physical AI agriculture platform company Ensin said it signed a 15.8 billion won contract to supply an AI agriculture platform to the building-type vertical farm I Am Farm Tower and also secured strategic investment from Samsung Venture Investment. The contract covers 8 floors from the third to the 10th, totaling 4,040 pyeong. Ensin said it will expand its B2B platform business and step up Series C fundraising and preparations for a Kosdaq listing led by Samsung Securities.

Turing supplies math data to participants in Korea's Dokpamo project

Reasoning AI agent developer Turing said on Tuesday it is supplying high-quality math data to major companies taking part in the government's Indigenous AI Foundation Model Project, known as Dokpamo. It is providing more than 300,000 selected questions accumulated through its math services, covering elementary, middle and high school ranges and supporting multimodal AI training with image-based items. The company said it offers rental and purchase options and can customise difficulty and formats.
