[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Roku has raised prices across its full range of streaming hardware products.
The Verge reported on July 24 that the cheapest Roku HD Streaming Stick rose to $39.99 from $29.99.
The increase applies to other Roku devices as well. Some product prices rose by as much as $50.
Roku is currently running discount promotions that allow some products to be purchased at their previous price levels. The previous prices can be checked on archived web pages.
A Roku executive cited ongoing memory shortages as the reason for the price increases. The memory shortage was expected to continue after 2027.
Apple also raised prices in June for its devices, including the Apple TV set-top box. Fox last month announced plans to acquire Roku.
