South Korea mobile game revenue $2.8 billion in 2025 H2; Nexon tops publisher ranking for first time
South Korea’s mobile game market generated about $2.8 billion in revenue in the second half of 2025, up 8.3 percent from the first half, Sensor Tower data showed. Downloads fell 21 percent year on year to about 210 million. Android accounted for 75 percent of revenue. Lineage M led by revenue, followed by Whiteout Survival. Nexon topped publisher revenue rankings for the first time.

KT customer departures top 130,000 after penalty waiver
More than 130,000 KT customers have moved to other telecom operators since the company began waiving early termination fees after an unauthorized small-payment incident, industry data showed. About 74 percent switched to SK Telecom. On Jan. 7, total number portability reached 51,229, with 23,100 leaving KT. KT announced a customer rewards programme, while regulators began inspections to curb overheated competition.

LG Innotek steps up next-generation glass substrate business
LG Innotek said on Jan. 8 it has signed an R&D cooperation agreement with glass precision processing company UTI to bolster its glass substrate business. The companies plan to jointly develop reinforcement technology to prevent strength loss during processing. LG Innotek said it has built a pilot production line in Korea and is expanding collaboration with customers and partners. It aims for 3 trillion won in annual sales by 2030.
