NH NongHyup Bank is applying artificial intelligence to corporate credit pre-screening, product recommendations and credit review report writing.
NH NongHyup Bank said on July 27 it has built an "AI-based PASS screening system" by integrating AI technology into its corporate credit review process.
Key functions include a pre-screening process that aims for accuracy comparable to full reviews, customised product recommendations during pre-screening and automated drafting of corporate credit review reports.
Credit reviewers can use the analysis results and reports provided by the AI for corporate credit reviews. The bank expects this to improve the speed and consistency of screening and reduce repetitive document-writing work.
Corporate clients can check loan eligibility and key review items at the pre-screening stage. The bank plans to propose products tailored to each company, also shortening the time required to provide financial support.
NH NongHyup Bank plans to use the launch of the screening system to push a shift to an "agentic AI bank," in which AI supports decision-making in work processes.
Kim Sung-hoon (김성훈), deputy head of the credit review division at NH NongHyup Bank, said, "AI is a key partner that supports decision-making, and the introduction of this screening system will support improvements in work efficiency and customer experience." He added, "We will provide financial support quickly to strong companies and strengthen productive finance."
