U.S. Treasury first acknowledges legal use of crypto mixers, submits report to Congress

The U.S. Treasury has officially acknowledged for the first time that crypto mixers can be used legally. In a report submitted to Congress in March, it said lawful digital asset users may use mixers to maintain financial privacy when making transactions on public blockchains. Crypto mixers are services that blend digital assets across multiple transactions, making it harder to trace the source of funds. The report reflects a recent trend in which the Trump administration has taken a more relaxed stance toward the crypto industry.

GS25 says fresh food sales on app jump 540 percent year-on-year as it boosts O4O grocery push

GS25 said on Saturday that its fresh-food pre-order promotion on the WooridongneGS app logged 20,000 cumulative orders in January and February. The retailer said fresh-food sales generated through the app rose 540 percent from a year earlier. It said meat, seafood and fruit sold evenly, with pork belly and air-shipped salmon fillet among top items. Customers in their 20s and 30s accounted for about 70 percent.

SKT prepares AI-based network for Gwanghwamun K-pop concert

SK Telecom said on March 15 it has prepared special communications measures using an AI-based network operations system ahead of a large K-pop concert on March 21 in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul. The event is expected to draw up to more than 260,000 people, including 22,000 ticket holders. SKT will deploy its A-One system for the first time, expand capacity with mobile base stations and temporary facilities, and add equipment for areas with heavy roaming use.
