Hana Financial Group will deliver about 1,300 “heatwave happiness boxes” to communities nationwide for people vulnerable to extreme heat. The boxes contain cooling bedding, a fan and health food items.
Hana Financial said on Aug. 4 it will distribute the boxes sequentially to heat-vulnerable groups nationwide, starting with a counselling center in an Incheon jjokbang area.
The boxes were prepared to help older people and other vulnerable groups get through the summer. They include cooling bedding, a stand fan, cooling T-shirts, cooling arm sleeves, hydration and electrolyte jelly, samgyetang and instant rice.
Hana Financial plans to provide the boxes to vulnerable groups that need support nationwide, starting with deliveries in the Incheon area.
A Hana Financial Group official said the group hopes the boxes will help older people and neighbors across the country stay healthy through the summer. The official said the group will continue to look out for people in need in local communities and carry on its social contribution activities.
