AI and data specialist WeseAITech said on Monday it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Khwan Entertainment and will launch Tumeet, a YouTube data-based platform.
The companies are pursuing the partnership as market demand grows for strategic operation of YouTube channels based on data. They plan to combine WeseAITech’s AI and data analytics capabilities with Khwan Entertainment’s understanding of and network in the content industry to strengthen Tumeet’s competitiveness and develop it into a service that can be used in the field of actual channel operations.
Tumeet, which WeseAITech is preparing to launch, is a service that looks at overall YouTube trends and a user’s channel data together, then identifies the next actions needed for channel operations and links them to execution.
The company said it provides major YouTube trends and fast-rising keywords, and that if a channel is linked, users can analyse various performance indicators, viewer reactions and comments through a customised dashboard.
The companies will pursue joint marketing and external cooperation to launch Tumeet and expand it in the market. They will also validate the service and advance its functions based on field experience in the entertainment industry and real YouTube channel operating environments. They also plan data-driven operation of channels for affiliated artists using Tumeet and development of content strategies, as well as the discovery of new services and joint business models linking the two companies’ technology, content, channels and networks.
Kim Dasan (김다산), CEO of WeseAITech, said what channel operators need is not more numbers, but insights that let them judge what content is getting a reaction and what to try next. He said the agreement will reflect Khwan Entertainment’s field experience and channel-operation know-how in Tumeet, and complete it as a service that artists and companies can use in practice for planning and operations by grasping content trends.
