Schneider Electric Wuhan plant recognised as WEF lighthouse for talent innovation

Schneider Electric said its Wuhan plant in China has been designated a talent-innovation lighthouse factory by the World Economic Forum. The talent-innovation category was introduced this year and only three sites worldwide were selected. Schneider Electric said the recognition brings its total number of lighthouse factories to nine, including five sustainability lighthouse sites. The Wuhan plant built a workforce model combining technology, partnerships and continuous learning, and introduced AI-based systems for skills management and maintenance.

Ably posts record-high fourth-quarter transaction value in food category

Ably, a style commerce platform operated by Ably Corp, said on Jan. 27 that fourth-quarter transaction value in its food category rose 80 percent from a year earlier, hitting a record high. Orders and ordering customers each climbed 45 percent, and new customers grew 33 percent. As of December, the number of merchants on the platform rose 30 percent. Monthly dessert popup events helped drive growth.
