Kevin Warsh holds 10.45 million stake in Coupang

Kevin Warsh, a former Federal Reserve governor widely mentioned as a leading contender for the next Fed chair, holds Coupang Inc shares worth about $10.45 million, SEC filings show. He owned 444,126 shares as of March last year. Warsh joined Coupang as an outside director in 2019 and chairs its governance committee. If he becomes Fed chair, he may need to step down and sell or place the shares in a blind trust.

E-Mart starts official sales of 31 million won humanoid robot, launches 14 robot products

E-Mart has brought robots into the home appliance category for general consumers. Industry officials said Electromart’s Yeongdeungpo store started selling 14 robot products on Thursday, including a 31 million won humanoid robot and a 4.76 million won quadruped model. The lineup also includes care and companion robots, as well as AI-enabled pet robots priced from 100,000 won to 1,000,000 won.

MSIT holds national R&D project evaluation steering committee

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT on Friday held the first 2026 steering committee meeting on national R&D project evaluations and confirmed the selection results for projects subject to a fourth round of preliminary feasibility studies in 2025. The committee selected a fusion energy core technology development and demonstration base-building project and a Korean urban air mobility safety operation system demonstration technology development project. Final decisions will follow after about seven months of review.
