Korea Investment Securities pension assets top 30 trillion won

Korea Investment Securities said on Feb. 5 its pension assets have exceeded 30 trillion won. It said retirement pension assets stood at 22.03 trillion won and personal pension assets at 8.08 trillion won as of end-2025, for a total of 30.1 trillion won. The number of individual IRP subscribers was 470,000. It also said its high-risk default option BF1 posted a 1-year return of 26.62 percent.

Orion launches Hoho Potato Cracker

Orion said on Feb. 5 it has launched Hoho Potato Cracker. The company said the cracker uses potatoes to bring out a savory flavour and is slowly baked in an oven to deliver a light, crispy texture. Orion said it is offering the product in a small two-pack format aimed at single-person households and a larger 12-pack package designed for easier sharing.

E-Mart starts Lunar New Year gift set main sales; preorders up 18.3 percent

E-Mart said on Wednesday it will run main sales of Lunar New Year gift sets from Feb. 7 to Feb. 17. The retailer posted a 18.3 percent rise in preorder sales versus a year earlier during a Dec. 26 to Feb. 2 campaign. Traders and Everyday recorded double-digit growth, rising 29.3 percent and 23.4 percent, respectively. E-Mart said bulk purchases helped lift preorder revenue to a record.
