Neptune shares plunge; company says sale by individual shareholder unrelated to management or results

Neptune on Tuesday issued an official statement after its shares fell sharply following heavy on-market selling by an individual shareholder. The company said the sale was a simple disposal of shares unrelated to management or business performance and was intended to secure funds under the shareholder’s asset management plan. Neptune said the shareholder is not involved in management and has no impact on governance. It also disclosed 2025 results and new business initiatives.

Toss Bank issues 130,000 K-Pass debit cards in first month

Toss Bank said on Tuesday it issued about 130,000 K-Pass debit cards in the month after launch, averaging around 4,100 cards a day, or about 3 per minute. The card offers an additional 2,000 won cashback when monthly public transport spending exceeds 40,000 won, regardless of the previous month’s spending. The government temporarily raised the K-Pass refund rate for general users to 30 percent from 20 percent for six months from April 2026.

South Korean stocks surge on U.S.-Iran truce hopes; KOSPI, Kosdaq sidecars triggered

South Korean shares surged early on Tuesday on expectations of easing Middle East tensions and a temporary truce involving the United States and Iran. The KOSPI rose more than 5 percent, while the Kosdaq gained more than 4 percent. Buying sidecar mechanisms were triggered in both markets, temporarily halting the effectiveness of program buy orders. Institutions and foreigners were net buyers, while individuals were net sellers.
