KT is spreading AI across everyday services including shopping, education, housing and finance through the government's 'Everyone's AI' project.

KT said on Aug. 26 it will form a consortium with various platform and service companies to implement "daily-life AI" services.

The KT consortium focuses on letting people experience AI naturally within platforms and services they already use, rather than seeking out separate AI services.

In education, it will upgrade AI-based learning services with EBS and MassPresso. MassPresso's AI learning platform Qanda has about 97 million cumulative users globally and about 8 million monthly active users. The KT consortium plans to incorporate services such as AI-powered hyper-personalised learning.

In shopping, it will work with fashion platform Musinsa. It plans to expand the AI-based shopping experience by adding personalised recommendations and conversational AI functions to Musinsa, which has about 17 million users. It will also cooperate with ConnectWave, which operates e-commerce platforms such as Danawa, Enuri and Makeshop, to apply AI to retail services.

In search, housing and finance, it will work with Daum, Zigbang, BC Card, Saltlux and DeepSearch. It plans to improve user convenience by applying AI to each company's existing services, including information search, real estate information gathering and decision-making, and finance.

KT will also use its AI full-stack strategy spanning domestic AI semiconductors, AI models and platforms, cloud and networks. It aims to build an AI ecosystem people can feel by connecting various daily services with AI technology based on this strategy.

A KT official said the company aims to promote the popularisation of AI by supporting people to experience AI naturally within everyday services they typically use. The official said it expects to contribute to building an AI ecosystem people can feel, based on its AI full-stack strategy.
