KB Kookmin Bank is launching a partnered account, 'KB Byeol Byeol Account 2', aimed at Starbucks customers.

KB Kookmin Bank said on Tuesday it will sell KB Byeol Byeol Account 2, a follow-up to the 'KB Byeol Byeol Account' that was sold last April in a limited run of 200,000 accounts, in a limited run of 300,000 accounts from Sept. 1.

KB Byeol Byeol Account 2 offers an annual interest rate of up to 2.0 percent for the first year on balances of up to 3 million won. The base rate is 0.1 percent a year, and the preferential rate is up to 1.9 percentage points.

Customers can receive up to 15 Starbucks star rewards a month if they register KB Byeol Byeol Account 2 on the Starbucks app and use simple account payment of 3,000 won or more, including for handcrafted drinks.

It also provides up to two Starbucks Americano tall-size coupons a month, up to 24 a year, if customers meet certain conditions such as deposits and withdrawals for card payment bills.

The bank is also holding a pre-event. Until Oct. 12, it will run a 100 percent winning roulette event for the first 100,000 participants and provide a multi-padded bag and up to 60 star rewards, among other items.

A bank official said, "We will continue to introduce various partnered products that can provide customers with tangible benefits."
