Motif consortium to build 'independent AI foundation model' with different design
AI startup Motif Technologies said it will build an independent AI foundation model after being selected for a project led by the Ministry of Science and ICT. The company formed a full-stack consortium with 17 participating institutions and 12 demand-side institutions. Motif will oversee model design, while Moreh will handle GPU cluster optimisation and distributed inference and lightweighting. Partners will also build data and pursue applications in industry and public services.

Mgame posts record 2025 revenue of 91.7 billion won; operating profit up 36.7 percent
Mgame said on Thursday it posted consolidated 2025 revenue of 91.7 billion won, its highest ever, with operating profit rising 36.7 percent to 17.6 billion won and net profit up 2.1 percent to 16.0 billion won. It credited overseas performance of Yulgang Online and Knight Online, and new revenue from mobile MMORPG Guhon M. The company plans new releases and expanded services in 2026.

Jang Min-young takes office as IBK Industrial Bank chief after one month, facing twin tasks
Jang Min-young (장민영) has taken office as IBK Industrial Bank of Korea’s 28th chief executive after a month-long labour-management standoff kept him out of headquarters for 22 days. A wage deal reached on Feb. 13 ended the immediate crisis, but issues such as total wage caps, unpaid allowances and settlement rules remain. Jang pledged to expand policy finance, including a 300 trillion won plan through 2030 and 75 trillion won support for small merchants, while stressing internal controls and consumer protection.
