AI could reshape 2028 with S&P 500 plunge, stablecoin payment shift

Citrini Research, a global macro and equity analyst, has outlined a macroeconomic scenario for 2028 that has spread quickly on X. The scenario says AI boosts corporate productivity but triggers a structural shock that weakens jobs and consumption. It envisages the S&P 500 approaching 8,000 and the Nasdaq topping 30,000 before unemployment climbs above 10 percent and equities fall 40 to 60 percent. It also foresees payments moving from card networks to blockchain-based stablecoins.

Mirae Asset Securities appoints first female research head, names WM and investment strategy leaders

Mirae Asset Securities said on Monday it made appointments for new division heads and its research centre. Kim Min-kyun moved from head of the investment strategy division to lead the WM STUDIO division. Park Hee-chan, previously research centre head, was appointed head of investment strategy. Park Yeon-joo, a director in the growth company analysis team, was named research centre head, becoming the first woman to hold the post since the firm’s founding.
