KAIST fails to appoint 18th president, decides to reopen search
KAIST failed to appoint its next president. The university's board of directors held a meeting on Feb. 26 and voted to select the 18th president, but no candidate met the threshold of winning a majority of attending directors, KAIST said. The board discussed three finalists, including incumbent President Kwang-hyung Lee, professor Jung-ho Kim and former UNIST president Yong-hoon Lee. KAIST will reopen the search process.

Morpheus Studio launches AI content creation platform AICRON
Morpheus Studio, an extended reality and augmented reality technology company, said on Feb. 26 it has formally launched AICRON, an AI content creation platform. AICRON, which has run an open beta service since October last year, integrates more than 200 generative AI models such as Nano Banana, Seedance and Kling under a single account. The company also unveiled video editing functions with the official release.
