[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] KoMate, a foreign recruitment service operated by Saramin, officially introduced the second cohort of its international student supporters programme, Komate Friends, it said on Sunday.

Saramin also held a launch ceremony for Komate Friends 2 on Sept. 4 at Saramin's headquarters at One Grove in Seoul, attended by about 30 people including supporters and KoMate officials.

Komate Friends 2 includes foreign students enrolled at 16 universities in South Korea, including Seoul National University, Hanyang University, Ulsan University and Daejeon University. The supporters, drawn from 10 countries including China, Vietnam, Iran, India and Russia, will plan and produce SNS content and carry out promotional activities for KoMate for about three months through November.

A KoMate official said, "As with the first cohort, we expect the second cohort will expand and strengthen touchpoints with international students and serve as an opportunity to develop the platform." The official added, "We ask for continued interest and support for Komate Friends 2 as they become the face of KoMate in many places."
