Krafton to launch 'Subnautica 2' in early access on May 15

Krafton's creative studio Unknown Worlds will release the next installment in its ocean survival series, 'Subnautica 2', next month. The studio set the early-access launch for May 15 at 0000 and disclosed pricing, setting the South Korea price at 33,700 won. It also released a new cinematic trailer showing new underwater vehicles and tools. The game uses Unreal Engine 5 graphics and adds a four-player co-op mode.

Kakao's PlayMCP supports integration with open-source AI OpenClaw

Kakao is expanding its open platform PlayMCP by supporting integration with the open-source AI agent OpenClaw, it said on Thursday. PlayMCP, based on the Model Context Protocol, allows developers to register and test MCP servers. The platform has Kakao services such as KakaoTalk, Tok Calendar, Kakao Map, Gifts and Melon, and about 200 external MCP servers. The integration adds OpenClaw to existing uses with Claude and ChatGPT and includes one-time token authentication.

Huawei seen leading China's AI chip market share this year on 60 percent growth

Huawei is expected to take the largest share of China’s AI chip market this year, the Financial Times reported. Chinese technology companies are placing large orders for Huawei’s latest Ascend 950PR processor. Based on orders already secured, Huawei expects AI chip revenue of about $12 billion this year, up more than 60 percent from $7.5 billion in 2025. Nvidia has faced hurdles re-entering the China market amid U.S. and Chinese regulations.
