Suprema signs MOU with Hyundai Motor-Kia Robotics Lab, Hyundai E&C on service-robot housing complexes

Suprema said it signed a three-party memorandum of understanding with Hyundai Motor and Kia’s Robotics Lab and Hyundai Engineering and Construction to cooperate on upgrading housing complexes using service robots. The three plan to combine AI security, robotics and building infrastructure capabilities to jointly develop and identify a future housing model in which service robots equipped with AI security functions can operate safely and naturally. They aim to pursue proof-of-concept work and commercialisation in stages.

Korea broadcast media telecom commission discusses K-content distribution with U.S. broadcaster Sinclair

South Korea's Broadcast Media Telecom Commission met Del Parks of U.S. terrestrial broadcaster Sinclair on March 19 to discuss distribution of Korean content and next-generation broadcasting technologies. Sinclair outlined its channel business structure and plans for Korean content, trends in AI-based broadcasting technology and revenue models using next-generation broadcast technology. It expressed willingness to cooperate, including supplying Korean content through U.S. terrestrial networks and expanding new services.

Broadcast Media Communications Commission launches 17th citizen policy reporters group

South Korea's Broadcast Media Communications Commission held a launch ceremony on March 19 at the government complex in Gwacheon for its 17th citizen policy reporters group. The group has 15 members, including five influencers and 10 reporting journalists, drawn from people in their 20s to 40s such as university students, office workers and freelancers. They will create and distribute digital content on broadcasting, media and telecommunications policies via official channels.
