[Digital Today reporter Jinju Hong] XRP has shown a clear rebound this week, but cautious views emerged in the market that investors should wait for further adjustment rather than chase the current price.

On Sept. 23 (local time), blockchain outlet Decrypt reported that Black Swan Capitalist co-founder Vandell Aljarrah (반델 알자라) recently said investors should be wary of buying into XRP’s rising trend.

Aljarrah told investors who have not accumulated enough XRP, "The recent rise may look like an entry signal, but you should avoid reckless chase buying." He said, "If you haven’t accumulated the amount you wanted, don’t let this move lure you in. Sit tight. This pump is not your entry. A pullback will come."

XRP recently traded at $1.61 at one point. It rose 6.68 percent over 24 hours, and has gained 24 percent over the past week and 9 percent over the past month. It is still about 12 percent lower than at the start of the year.

This rebound is an extension of volatile trading that followed a sharp drop in August. XRP fell to $0.978 in August, then quickly recovered by climbing above $1.70 in the third week of August. The rise from the low to the high was about 72 percent. It later gave back part of the gains, dropping 26.6 percent to around $1.2468, but recovered the $1.60 level again. It also traded around $1.65 on the evening of Sept. 22.

Aljarrah said another decline could follow the recent rebound. He drew a line, however, saying that even if an additional adjustment comes, it does not necessarily mean a return to the August low. For example, if XRP reaches $2 before the next drop, a pullback to $1.50 could form a new low that is higher than the previous pullback low of $1.2468, he said.

He also mentioned that timing the market itself is not easy. Even if a pullback occurs, it may not stop at the exact price level investors expect, and waiting only for a specific entry price carries the risk of missing further gains. Aljarrah’s remarks are seen as putting more weight on the difficulty of choosing an entry zone than on simple optimism.

The comments came as the broader cryptocurrency market shifted into a bullish flow. Bitcoin broke above $87,000 on Sept. 22 to hit a nine-month high and at one point traded around $86,500. That is up more than 49 percent from a July low of $57,800.

Investor sentiment across the market also strengthened. Total cryptocurrency market capitalisation neared $3 trillion, and the Fear and Greed Index entered the greed zone at 77. Among major altcoins, Uniswap’s UNI rose about 64 percent over the past week, while Near Protocol’s NEAR gained about 92 percent.

As a result, views may differ on whether XRP’s recent rise is the final stretch of a buying opportunity. Aljarrah said, "That’s how these transitions develop," but it remains uncertain when an additional adjustment will come and at what price it will form a bottom. For market participants, it appears to be a phase in which they must check the possibility of a pullback alongside the bullish-market mood.

If you haven’t accumulated the amount you wanted, don’t let this move lure you in. Sit tight. This pump is not your entry. A pullback will come. That’s how these transitions develop.
