Polymarket, Kalshi declare war on insider trading, warn of permanent ban for sharing confidential information
Prediction market platforms are tightening trading rules to curb insider trading and market manipulation, including blocking politicians and athletes from trading in markets directly tied to them. Kalshi introduced safeguards barring political candidates from betting on their own campaigns and prohibiting sports participants and officials from trading on games they are involved in. Polymarket updated integrity rules, detailing banned conduct and warning of wallet reviews, permanent bans, referrals to investigators and financial penalties.

KOSPI sidecar triggered 10 times this year, most since global financial crisis
The KOSPI sidecar mechanism has been triggered 10 times in less than two months since last month, the Korea Exchange said. There were four buy-side and six sell-side activations between Feb. 2 and March 23. The KOSDAQ market saw six triggers this year. The exchange said the highest annual total since 2002 was 26 in 2008, with this year the next highest so far.

KOSPI rebounds more than 2 percent to reclaim 5,550 level, Kosdaq also rises
South Korea's KOSPI ended up 2.74 percent on March 24, reclaiming the 5,550 level after giving up part of earlier gains. The index opened sharply higher and briefly rose to 5,643.00 before easing in afternoon trade. Retail investors and institutions were net buyers, while foreign investors sold 1.9864 trillion won. Most heavyweight shares rose. The Kosdaq gained 2.24 percent. The won weakened against the dollar.
