Apple unveils AirPods 5 with ANC, real-time translation from 199,000 won

Apple has unveiled the AirPods 5 with active noise cancelling as a standard feature, enhancing transparency mode, audio quality, battery life and AI functions. The company said the new design and algorithms cut up to 50 percent more external noise than the AirPods 4 ANC model. AirPods 5 will go on sale in stores from Sept. 18, with preorders starting Sept. 11 in South Korea. Prices start at 199,000 won.

KD Lab adds custom AI roleplay to Sokind job communication coaching platform

KD Lab, an AI-based communications training solutions company, said on Sept. 10 it added a custom AI roleplay feature to its job communication coaching platform, Sokind. The company said users can set customer traits and situations they face at work and practise conversations with an AI customer. It said the function broadens personalisation beyond administrator-set scenarios. The feature is being applied first at two domestic life insurers.

S2W joins OpenAI global cybersecurity initiative Daybreak

S2W, a big data analysis AI company, said on Sept. 10 it will join the Daybreak Defense Network, a global partner ecosystem for OpenAI-led cybersecurity initiative Daybreak. The initiative focuses on helping corporate and institutional security teams proactively find, verify and fix vulnerabilities using OpenAI frontier models and the Codex Security application security agent. S2W said the program will broaden its work in vulnerability response, threat modeling and security investigations.
