Aster DEX ends monthly linear token unlocks, distributes only via staking rewards

Decentralised exchange Aster is ending its monthly linear token unlock mechanism, under which it released ecosystem tokens at a fixed rate each month. The platform had been unlocking about 78.4 million tokens, around 1 percent of the maximum supply, on a monthly basis. Under the new approach, it will distribute about 450,000 ASTER tokens a week, or roughly 1.8 million to 2.25 million a month, solely as staking rewards.

Karpathy reveals how to build a personal AI knowledge base with three folders

Andrej Karpathy, known for proposing the concept of “vibe coding,” has shared a method for building a personal knowledge base using AI. His approach requires no special software or database, relying instead on three folders and a text “schema” file. Users collect materials in a raw folder, have AI rewrite them into wiki files, and store AI-generated answers in outputs. Karpathy recommends monthly checks to catch errors.

IFS ends user-based pricing, shifts to operational asset-based model

Enterprise software company IFS has scrapped user-based licensing and introduced a pricing model that charges customers based on the number of operational assets they manage. The model calculates software costs using assets such as marine vessels, parts, infrastructure and production equipment. Chief Executive Mark Moffat said customers should not have to choose between controlling software costs and automating operations, adding that the firm charges for work rather than users.
