KT said on Monday it will recruit new university graduates through Sept. 7.

The openings include network (NW) infrastructure operations, business-to-business (B2B) consulting and sales, and business-to-consumer (B2C) marketing and sales.

The roles cover operating network infrastructure and performing duties at customer touchpoints and business sites. KT expanded the scale of this new-graduate recruitment to strengthen its core field workforce.

In the hiring process, KT will reflect AI usage capabilities as a key evaluation factor along with expertise needed to perform the role. Depending on the characteristics of each job, it will comprehensively assess applicants’ ability to perform the role, focusing on knowledge and problem-solving skills needed at work.

KT plans to present situations that could arise in actual jobs and closely examine how applicants use AI in the process of solving problems. It will also comprehensively evaluate applicants’ experience and capabilities. KT plans not to judge applicants solely by credentials, and will look at the situations and roles applicants faced, the methods they tried to solve problems and the outcomes.

KT will also provide training and growth opportunities so selected recruits can build job expertise after joining the company. It will foster them into talent that can use AI in their work based on job expertise to solve on-site problems and drive work innovation.

Lee Sun-joo (이선주), an executive director and head of talent at KT, said, "In this recruitment, we comprehensively examine not only the expertise needed to perform the job but also the capability to use AI in actual work." He added, "We look forward to strong interest from people who understand the field and can grow into experts at an AI transformation (AX) platform company based on their expertise."
