Shinhan Bank is moving to expand its brand touchpoints with younger generations through an experiential space that combines characters with artificial intelligence and augmented reality technology.

Shinhan Bank said on Wednesday it is taking part in the Character Licensing Fair 2026, running through July 19 at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, and operating a brand space using its flagship Shinhan Friends characters.

At the event, it is showcasing interactive content that combines finance and characters under the theme, “Financial Research Lab with SuperSOL.”

Visitors can try experiences such as Challenge LAB, which collects financial energy through a mobile game, Drawing LAB, which turns drawings into AI characters and pin badges, and Magic LAB, which films augmented reality videos with Shinhan Friends.

It is also operating Discovery LAB, which helps visitors find finance-related jobs that match their personal tendencies. During the event, it is also selling Shinhan Friends character goods, including limited-edition items.

A Shinhan Bank official said, “We designed the content so people can experience finance in a friendly way with Shinhan Friends,” adding, “We will continue to expand brand experiences that connect characters and finance.”
