SK Telecom said on Saturday it will run ALEPH with Korea IT Academy as part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s K-New Deal Academy project to train practical talent in AI security and networks. It said it is recruiting trainees.
ALEPH will be run in person on weekdays in Daejeon, Daegu and Busan from August to November next year. Trainees will carry out tasks close to real corporate environments, including AI-based network operations, security policy design, corporate infrastructure building, anomaly analysis and incident response.
Eligible participants are unemployed youths aged 15 to 34. Tuition worth 19.6 million won will be fully supported by state funds, and training allowances of up to 500,000 won a month will also be paid if requirements are met.
SKT plans to reflect on-the-job cases it has accumulated in AI networks and security in the curriculum. It also plans to support mentoring involving incumbent workers and project reviews.
Applications are open until Aug. 10, and training applications and a detailed curriculum can be found on the official website.
Kim Gu-young (김구영), head of SKT’s Enterprise Business Division, said, "As AI spreads into companies’ core areas, the importance of practical capabilities to apply and operate AI in actual work is growing." He said, "SKT will support the training of practical AX talent in AI security and networks through ALEPH and will also contribute to expanding AI transformation at industrial sites."
