KB Kookmin Bank will provide tailored financial services to the National Heritage Promotion Agency.
KB Kookmin Bank said on June 19 it signed a primary banking agreement with the agency on June 18.
The National Heritage Promotion Agency is a public institution under the Korea Heritage Agency. It is pursuing projects to preserve, utilise and disseminate national heritage and to spread traditional living culture.
Under the agreement, KB Kookmin Bank will support the agency’s operating fund management and the building of a tailored integrated cash management system over the next five years. It also plans to offer employee-only unsecured loan products.
The two organisations also agreed to pursue cooperation projects for the preservation and globalisation of national heritage.
Rhee Gui-young (이귀영), president of the National Heritage Promotion Agency, said the two sides will work together to do their best to promote that what is most Korean is most global, based on Korea’s traditional culture.
Kim Young-il (김영일), executive vice president of KB Kookmin Bank’s Institutional Business Group, said it was a partnership to protect the value of traditional culture beyond a simple financial tie-up. He added they will create a trustworthy financial environment through institutional cooperation.
