[DigitalToday reporter Hojeong Lee] Neowiz's hit title 'Lies of P', which has surpassed cumulative sales of 4 million copies, is expanding to Nintendo's next-generation console platform as it seeks to extend its run.

Neowiz said on Tuesday it will officially release 'Lies of P: Complete Edition', the Nintendo Switch 2 version of its action role-playing game 'Lies of P', on Aug. 6.

The Nintendo Switch 2 release was made official through Nintendo's online showcase, 'Nintendo Direct 2026', held on Monday. Neowiz, which has posted results on major consoles including PlayStation and Xbox, is seen as taking a strategic step to maximise the influence of its intellectual property by encompassing the Nintendo platform as well.

'Lies of P: Complete Edition', set for release on Aug. 6, is a digital bundle that combines the main game and the downloadable content (DLC) 'Lies of P: Overture'. It is priced at 69,800 won, and pre-orders are now available on the Nintendo eShop.

Neowiz is also rolling out a merchandising strategy aimed at the offline market rather than stopping at the digital release. It will partner with global merchandising company iam8bit to introduce a physical package.

The package includes the main game and the DLC, and the company plans to offer special goods such as a marionette doll to spur existing fans' desire to collect. The physical package is scheduled for official release in global markets on Oct. 2.

'Lies of P', which reinterprets Italy's classic Pinocchio as a brutal fairy tale, has proved strong IP power by continuing its success with the DLC released in June last year. The DLC in particular won the best expansion category at the New York Game Awards in the United States and scored 86 on OpenCritic, earning recognition for a level of completion that surpasses the main game.

Choi Ji-won (최지원), the game's general director, said, "I am very nervous and happy to be able to present 'Lies of P' to Nintendo users for the first time." He added, "I hope that through more platforms, global fans will be able to enjoy 'Lies of P's beautiful yet brutal Pinocchio story."
