Shinhan Bank visited an aircraft maintenance specialist to discuss ways to support productive finance. The move aims to directly review funding demand for growth by small and mid-sized companies, including facility investment and working capital, in line with a recovery in the aviation industry.
Shinhan Bank said on June 4 that its CEO Jeong Sang-hyeok (정상혁) visited Sharps Technics K in Jung-gu, Incheon, on June 2.
Sharps Technics K is an affiliate of aviation services company Sharps Aviation K and is responsible for aircraft maintenance and operating related facilities. Since its establishment in 1964, Sharps Aviation K has provided aviation-related services at major domestic airports, including ground handling, aircraft maintenance, cargo terminal operations and ticketing agency services.
The visit was arranged to check financial demand on site from small and mid-sized companies with growth potential. The bank explained that Jeong has continued to visit corporate sites since early this year as part of efforts to expand productive finance.
Jeong toured Sharps Technics K's first and second maintenance hangars with Sharps Aviation K CEO Baek Soon-seok (백순석). He inspected ground handling and aircraft maintenance sites and heard about facility operations, recruitment of skilled personnel and future investment plans as the aviation industry recovers.
Shinhan Bank plans to review measures to support corporate finance within the aviation industry following the visit. It will examine tailored financial solutions for Sharps Aviation K's facility investment and operating funds, as well as to strengthen global competitiveness, and continue practical support.
Jeong said, "As a reliable business partner for companies, we will continue to strengthen productive finance support so that funds can be supplied smoothly to industrial sites with growth potential."
