[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Thomson Reuters Korea, a global professional information and legal tech company, will hold the Korea Legal Tech Forum 2026 on June 9.
The theme of this year’s forum is “AI adoption in legal organisations, beyond experiments to strategy.” As AI adoption by legal organisations expands beyond simple experimentation into strategy-setting and day-to-day work overall, Thomson Reuters Korea will share ways to systematise AI as an organisational strategy and embed it effectively in practical work.
Sessions include: The illusion of artificial intelligence: AI essentials legal professionals must know; legal teams’ response to mandatory global e-invoicing regulations; corporate AI governance and security strategy in the era of the AI Basic Act; does AI replace lawyers or complete them; management innovation in legal departments using AI; beyond experiments to strategy: AI adoption in legal organisations, and what comes after; and key ACP provisions and practical considerations to strengthen the guarantee of the right to defence.
Speakers include Thomas Chuang (토마스 추앙), head of consulting for Thomson Reuters Legal Solutions; Clare Dengate Thrush (클레어 덴게이트 스러시), head of customer partners at Thomson Reuters; Lee Kwang-wook (이광욱), a partner attorney at law firm HwaWoo; Cho Won-hee (조원희), managing attorney at law firm DLG; Park Sung-jae (박성재), head of the AI Center at Lawform; and Kang In-je (강인제), an attorney at Kim & Chang.
Jun-won Kim (김준원), CEO of Thomson Reuters Korea, said, “The use of AI in legal organisations has already moved beyond experiments and entered the practical stage.” He added, “I hope this forum will be an opportunity to share on-the-ground experience and insights and to solidify cooperation across the broader legal tech ecosystem.”
