Naver Cloud said on Wednesday its AI workplace collaboration tool Naver Works (NAVER WORKS), which is participating in a pan-government intelligent work management platform project, is starting a mobile service.
Public sector work networks are operated by separating internal business networks and external internet networks under network separation policies. This blocks access to internal systems on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, causing inconvenience in handling work during business trips and outside duties.
Naver Cloud stressed that the launch of the Naver Works mobile service used by central government ministry civil servants is meaningful because it provides the convenience of connecting to internal systems using private cloud technology while ensuring security, and creates a digital work environment that allows civil servants to work flexibly regardless of location.
The company said end-to-end encryption-based security technology is applied to all data transmissions, including chats and files, allowing even sensitive work information to be handled.
Kyung-sung Min (경성민), a director at Naver Cloud, said, "With the Naver Works mobile service, location limits will no longer become work limits." He added, "We will continue to support more administrative agencies so they can experience AI-driven work innovation and handle work without space constraints."
