LG Innotek is expanding the scope of its physical AI cooperation with Applied Intuition. LG Innotek said on Wednesday that CEO Moon Hyuk-soo (문혁수) met Applied Intuition co-founder and CEO Qasar Younis (Qasar Younis) at its Magok headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The companies reviewed the status of their autonomous driving cooperation and discussed ways to work together in physical AI areas including robots and drones.
The meeting followed up on the strategic cooperation in autonomous driving that the companies announced in March. The companies are working to advance autonomous driving solutions by combining LG Innotek's autonomous driving sensing modules with Applied Intuition's software. At the meeting, expanding the scope of cooperation across physical AI was raised as an agenda item.
LG Innotek executives attending included Moon and Chief Technology Officer Min Jeon. Applied Intuition was represented by Younis and Will Lin (Will Lin), head of the automotive division. The executives also reviewed joint responses and promotion plans for major customers.
LG Innotek has sensing solution capabilities, and Applied Intuition has experience building physical AI software across industries including defense, construction and agriculture. Based on this, the companies plan to broaden cooperation in physical AI areas including mobility and robots.
Moon said, "Applied Intuition is a leading player in physical AI trusted by global companies," adding, "Through this cooperation, LG Innotek will make a leap to become a global top-tier player in sensing that leads the physical AI era."
