MegazoneSoft, an affiliate of AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud, has signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) with Google Cloud and will seek industry-specific innovation cases centered on four core areas including AI, it said on Monday.

MegazoneSoft is the first in South Korea to sign an SPA with Google Cloud. An SPA is a strategic agreement under which the two sides set joint goals in a specific business area and share directions for cooperation. MegazoneSoft said it has maintained cooperation as a key partner of Google Cloud and specified joint business goals through the SPA.

The two companies selected AI, data, security and Google Workspace as the four core areas of cooperation. They plan to expand in the South Korean market in earnest based on a regular performance review system.

MegazoneSoft provides industry-tailored services based on core Google Cloud solutions. It offers Google Cloud-based solutions such as Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI to fit corporate environments, and supports the full process from drawing up adoption strategies to model development, operation and governance building. It plans to expand tailored AI use cases such as regulatory responses, smart factories and supply chain optimisation, mainly in the finance and manufacturing sectors.

In data, MegazoneSoft plans to strengthen one-stop services from establishing data governance to optimising operations, while supporting the building of data migration, integration and analysis environments centered on Google Cloud's AI data platform BigQuery.

In security, MegazoneSoft will provide integrated security services centered on Google SecOps solutions by cooperating with global security specialist companies including Wiz and Mandiant Consulting. It plans to build a security system optimised for cloud environments and expand applications to various industries including aviation, manufacturing and distribution.

In Google Workspace, MegazoneSoft will strengthen cooperation in expanding AI use and supporting workplace adoption in line with Google's 'AWT (Agentic Workplace Transformation)' strategy for AI-based work automation. AWT is a strategy in which AI goes beyond a simple support role to process work automatically, transforming how companies work.

MegazoneSoft plans to help more than 80 independent software vendors (ISVs) effectively promote and sell products through the Google Cloud Marketplace, and to vitalise the marketplace ecosystem through regular seminars and events.

Yeom Dong-hoon (염동훈), chief executive of MegazoneCloud, said the SPA was a strategic declaration that Google Cloud and MegazoneSoft are ready to lead innovation at South Korean companies together. He said the company will actively support customers based on its expertise so they can achieve company-wide innovation beyond simple infrastructure adoption, including changes in how they work, process innovation and discovering new business models, and create new value.
