LG Uplus said on Monday it will operate a standalone exhibition booth at the World IT Show and present future artificial intelligence (AI) services.

The World IT Show is South Korea's leading ICT exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT. It offers a look at the latest technologies and trends across the ICT industry, including telecommunications, networks, platforms and AI. This is the first time LG Uplus will run an official standalone booth at the show.

LG Uplus will present future AI services that connect people and technology through voice-based AI under the theme "Humanizing Every Connection". The booth will include AI agents, AI contact centres and AI infrastructure. Visitors will be able to experience LG Uplus' AI technologies and their applications through hands-on content.

A key exhibit is ixi-O Pro, an evolved model of the ixi-O AI agent. ixi-O Pro is a proactive AI agent that analyses a user's speech and context to suggest actions. It goes beyond simple voice recognition and is designed to understand a user's intent and situation.

The company has also prepared a media art exhibition. It will present, for the first time in South Korea at the World IT Show, the interactive media art piece "Voice AI Media Art: Bloom", co-produced with British media artist group Universal Everything. The work was first unveiled at MWC.

LG Uplus will also display AI security technology for data protection. It will introduce a security structure that applies homomorphic encryption, which enables computation on encrypted data, and present a technology direction for an environment that allows AI processing without decrypting the original data.

For corporate customers, it will also introduce "Agentic AICC", a next-generation AI counselling solution that overcomes the limits of standardised AI consultations, and an on-premises "Sovereign AI Appliance" that enables AI use without sending internal company data outside.

Sung-kwon Jung (정성권), head of LG Uplus' AX Service Development Group and an executive vice president, will deliver a keynote speech at the Global ICT Outlook Conference held on the opening day of the World IT Show. His topic is "A telecom company's agentic AI strategy centred on voice AI". Jung is set to share LG Uplus' direction for AI technology and its mid- to long-term AI business vision as a telecom operator.

Da-rim Kim (김다림), head of marketing communications at LG Uplus, said, "We want to share the direction and considerations behind the AI technology LG Uplus pursues with the broader industry." Kim added, "We will continue to strengthen competitiveness through a differentiated AI experience that connects customers' daily lives and various industrial sites centred on voice AI."
