Oracle NetSuite, Oracle’s cloud ERP unit, announced 3 expansions to its AI connector service at the SuiteConnect London 2026 event. The move centres on an open strategy that links to external AI instead of joining the race to build its own AI models.

NetSuite introduced the Model Context Protocol, or MCP, to connect ERP data with external AI such as Claude and ChatGPT.

Craig Sullivan (크레이그 설리번), NetSuite’s head of product, said, "We jumped in as soon as OpenAI adopted MCP." He said, "NetSuite will be the first ERP system to connect core business systems and AI through MCP."

According to a recent report by Techzine, the 3 expansions NetSuite unveiled are the AI Connector Service Companion, the MCP app and NetSuite Analytics Warehouse.

The AI Connector Service Companion provides more than 100 financial prompt templates designed around NetSuite’s data structure, roles and terminology. The templates are organised by role, from chief financial officers to financial analysts.

The MCP app supports using NetSuite screens in external AI interfaces. Users can open familiar NetSuite screens, including filters, selections and reports, directly inside Claude or ChatGPT.

Using Claude as an example, dashboards and reports can be created and viewed directly inside Claude. Patrick Puck (패트릭 퍽), NetSuite’s head of product engineering, said, "Models that support MCP clients connect right away." He said, "We do not block specific models."

NetSuite Analytics Warehouse supports AI analysis not only of same-day transaction data but also multi-year trends, Shopify data and data from external systems.

NetSuite will also continue to provide its own AI assistant, Ask Oracle. Puck said, "A single model does not cover every task. We have an internal layer that selects a model suited to the task." He said, "Combining agent AI and predictive AI can create agents that predict and infer results and then lead to action, so there are many interesting use cases."
