Samsung Electronics launched the Galaxy Book6 in South Korea on Tuesday. It followed the Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Galaxy Book6 Pro unveiled in January, completing the full Galaxy Book6 series lineup. Prices range from 1.6 million won to 2.51 million won depending on specifications. It comes in gray and silver, and in 40.6-cm (16-inch) and 35.6-cm (14-inch) sizes.

The Galaxy Book6 is powered by Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 3. It has a built-in NPU offering up to 49 TOPS, improving AI processing speed from the previous Galaxy Book5 at 13 TOPS. It performs Galaxy AI-based tasks such as the AI Cut Out image background removal feature and real-time translation. The company said it can also search for files and images stored on the PC or change settings using natural language.

Battery performance has also been upgraded. It supports up to 24 hours of video playback on a full charge. The design uses the same symmetrical structure as the Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Pro. It is 14.9 mm thick and weighs 1.43 kg for the 14-inch model. It includes 2 USB Type-C ports, 2 USB Type-A ports, HDMI, a Micro SD card slot and a wired LAN port.

Samsung also introduced a new Galaxy Book6 Ultra model. In addition to models with dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 and 5060 graphics, it added a model with Intel integrated graphics. It comes in a single configuration with Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 7, 32GB memory and 1TB storage, priced at 3.69 million won.

Samsung is also offering an AI Subscription Club. Subscription plans come in 24-, 36- and 48-month options, and include free repairs and breakage coverage. It can extend the basic 1-year free warranty period for the length of the subscription, and also covers damage caused by user negligence. The out-of-pocket cost for repairs is 25 percent, with a minimum of 30,000 won.

Jung Ho-jin (정호진), vice president of Samsung Electronics' Korea unit, said the Galaxy Book6 maintains flagship-level performance based on Galaxy AI while offering price competitiveness. He said he hopes users will have a broad AI experience across daily life with the Galaxy Book6.
