Rockwell Automation will showcase an AI-based autonomous manufacturing system. Rockwell Automation, an industrial automation specialist, said on Monday it will participate in the 2026 Smart Factory and Automation Industry Exhibition (AW 2026) to be held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul from March 4 to 6. The exhibition, now in its 37th year, is held under the slogan, "Autonomy, the power driving sustainability," and presents a vision for the smart manufacturing industry.

Rockwell Automation will exhibit an autonomous production system applying AI across the manufacturing lifecycle from design to operations and maintenance, under the theme, "Creating the future of industrial operations." The manufacturing system learns on its own based on data and optimises operations.

The booth comprises five zones: AI-Powered Design, AI-Powered Operations, AI-Powered Maintenance, Innovation and Industry. The AI-Powered Design zone will showcase autonomous design technology through AI-based simulation. It includes the process-based 3D digital twin platform Emulate3D, the Logix PLC emulation solution FactoryTalk Logix Echo, and the cloud-native design solution FactoryTalk Design Studio with Copilot built in.

In the AI-Powered Operations zone, the company will display an autonomous operations model in which AI integrates and optimises production planning, scheduling, processes and resource operations. It will showcase the industrial integrated data platform FactoryTalk DataMosaix, the vision AI solution FactoryTalk Analytics VisionAI, the smart manufacturing execution system Plex MES, the autonomous mobile robot OTTO AMR, the integrated robot control platform Unified Robot Control, and the process and data integration solution Smart Process.

In the AI-Powered Maintenance zone, it will present ways to minimise equipment downtime through a predictive maintenance-based maintenance strategy. FactoryTalk Analytics LogixAI and GuardianAI will be introduced.

In the Innovation zone, it will exhibit automation and control technologies such as the EtherNet/IP in-Cabinet Solution, ControlLogix 5590 PLC and PointMax I/O, and the OT-focused cybersecurity platform SecureOT. In the Industry zone, visitors can review tailored solutions centred on application cases in the automotive, tyre and electric vehicle industries, life sciences and food and beverage, and the chemicals industry.

During the exhibition, the company will run a booth guide tour every day at 2 p.m. It will introduce its AI-based production system and key portfolio. Through on-booth seminars, it will provide major issues across industry and related insights, products and solutions. It will also hold a separate "digital engineering seminar" for original equipment manufacturers. It plans to present real equipment application cases and strategies to strengthen equipment competitiveness. A consultation area in the booth will offer one-on-one solution consulting with experts.

Lee Yong-ha (이용하), head of Rockwell Automation Korea, said, "The manufacturing industry is moving beyond automation to an autonomous operations stage where AI makes decisions and optimises overall operations." He added, "Rockwell Automation will continue to support manufacturing companies so they can achieve productivity, flexibility and sustainability at the same time through AI-based production systems."
