Korea Microsoft will begin an industry-academia capstone project with Sookmyung Women's University and Samsung Electronics to explore practical applications for Microsoft Copilot.
The project will be carried out through a course titled "Corporate-linked Capstone Design" for the first semester of the 2026 academic year, newly created as part of cooperation between Korea Microsoft and Sookmyung Women's University and jointly operated by the two. Fifty business administration majors at Sookmyung Women's University will take part. Students will carry out business assignments based on Microsoft Copilot integrated across the Windows environment and the latest Copilot+ PC experience.
Korea Microsoft plans to use the project to develop practical insights into how Microsoft Copilot changes university students' study methods and productivity.
The project will conclude with a final presentation and certificate-awarding ceremony on June 12. Customer scenarios and marketing strategy guidelines produced through student participation will be reviewed by linking them to Samsung Electronics' actual business tasks. Hae-min Kim (김해민), Microsoft M365 Korea category lead, said, "The changes led by generative AI and AI PCs are already transforming academic and work environments, and through this project we are paying attention to the specific patterns of change that Microsoft Copilot will drive." Kim said, "In particular, we hope Copilot will support productivity and efficiency in the planning process and that Sookmyung Women's University students will present marketing strategies by demonstrating creative perspectives and positive synergy."
