JiranJigyo Security said on March 17 it will supply its content disarm and reconstruction (CDR) engine, the SaniTOX SDK, to AhnLab’s intelligent threat response solution, AhnLab MDS.
JiranJigyo Security’s SaniTOX CDR (Content Disarm & Reconstruction) is a technology that analyzes document structures to detect and remove (disable) only active content areas that can be used for malware, and then reconstructs them into safe files.
AhnLab MDS detects previously unknown new malware through an integrated analysis system linked from the network to endpoints and sandbox-based dynamic analysis. The supply will be carried out by embedding the SaniTOX CDR SDK (software development kit) directly into AhnLab MDS, and it will be provided to customers as an expanded feature under a license-purchase option.
This supports automatic CDR processing of files uploaded on MDS and MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) equipment, or files selected from detection history, so that users can download only safe files with potential threat elements removed. AhnLab plans to review embedding the CDR engine in its global lineup to be supplied in global markets including the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
JiranJigyo Security CEO Won-hee Cho (조원희) said the SaniTOX CDR engine being embedded in AhnLab’s flagship solution was the result of recognition for the engine’s performance and technological capabilities. He said SaniTOX is a core technology that realizes "preventive security" by removing sources of potential threats. He added that, based on SaniTOX’s scalability, the company will accelerate technology linkages with various security solutions to expand proactive preventive security and solidify its market advantage in the content disarm and reconstruction market.
