Birchill Holdings raised $2.5 million in a pre-seed funding round.
The Block recently reported that Parafi Capital and Castle Island Ventures co-led the round. Nascent, FalconX Ventures, JST Digital, Flowdesk and BlueRoc founder Ramin Kampar also participated.
Birchill will use the funds to expand on-chain credit infrastructure for institutional investors. It is developing institutional lending strategies that prioritize structured risk management and capital preservation. It plans to launch vaults on Morpho Protocol and expand to Euler Protocol.
Birchill CEO Bavin Bade (바빈 베이드) said, "Blockchain-based credit markets have efficiency, but they require strong risk management." He said the company will combine traditional credit investing with modern infrastructure to deliver institutional-level governance, transparency and risk management. With the funding, Birchill plans to expand its engineering and risk infrastructure teams and review registration in the United States as a registered investment adviser and as a broker-dealer.
