AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud delivered employee-donated goods and cash to the Gwacheon Community Welfare Center to support vulnerable residents in the Gwacheon area ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

The donation ceremony was held on Feb. 11 at the Megazone Industry-Academia-Research Center in Gwacheon. It was attended by Ji-hwang Jang (장지황), chief human resources officer at MegazoneCloud, and Chan-jung Park (박찬정), director of the Gwacheon Community Welfare Center, among others.

MegazoneCloud deposited 10 million won in cash and donated daily necessities collected through employees' voluntary participation to the Gwacheon Community Welfare Center that day. The cash and goods will be used to support local children and elderly people living alone through the welfare center's Galhyeon Center.

The donated items comprise about 100 categories, including dolls, toys, baby supplies and baby clothes, clothing, shoes, bags, daily necessities and food. Employees voluntarily donated them to a collection box set up in the first-floor lobby of the office building from December last year through recently.

Ji-hwang Jang, chief human resources officer at MegazoneCloud, said it was meaningful to be able to share with local neighbors the goodwill gathered through employees' participation. He said he hoped it would provide small help to families in need ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, and that the company would continue to seek activities that help the local community.

Chan-jung Park, director of the Gwacheon Community Welfare Center, said she deeply appreciated MegazoneCloud employees for extending a warm hand with the Lunar New Year holiday in mind for marginalized neighbors in the area. She said the donated funds and goods would be delivered to families that need them so local residents can enjoy a happy holiday.
