Thailand mobile banking platform LINE BK on Friday unveiled its key 2025 achievements and its business strategy for 2026. It plans to sustain performance growth on expanding its customer base and improving profitability, while strengthening its role as an everyday financial platform amid an uncertain economic environment.
LINE BK said its total customers topped 8.4 million as of end-2025, up about 14 percent from a year earlier. It posted broad-based growth across all business segments as it established itself as a one-stop financial platform integrating banking, loans and insurance services within the LINE app.
In lending, it provided services to about 900,000 customers, up 20 percent from a year earlier. Total loan balances exceeded 27 billion baht, it said.
Insurance also maintained its growth, with annualised first-year premiums up 30 percent from a year earlier. Revenue rose 35 percent and its profit structure improved on cost efficiencies. It also succeeded in generating net profit while maintaining portfolio soundness, an assessment that it demonstrated competitiveness in LINE BK's business model.
LINE BK said it expects economic uncertainty to persist in 2026 and plans to further strengthen its role as an Everyday Financial Partner that helps customers manage their money.
It will focus its capabilities on upgrading its three core services: banking, loans and insurance brokerage. In banking, it plans to improve the service experience to make it easier and safer, while introducing new functions to systematically support personal asset management.
In lending, it will strengthen financial access in line with the Bank of Thailand's responsible lending guidelines. It will expand cooperation with partners including Lalamove, Rabbit Care and Lineman Wongnai to improve access for self-employed people and platform users. It will also step up risk management by upgrading its credit assessment model.
In insurance brokerage, it plans to expand a range of products under the theme, "Easy to buy, light to pay, all done within LINE," to strengthen customers' tools for risk management in a highly volatile environment.
Kim Young-eun (김영은), COO of LINE Financial and chairman of the board of Kasikorn Line, said LINE BK is an everyday finance platform that connects banking, loans and insurance into one within LINE as an everyday platform. He said it will continue to upgrade the user experience based on the scalability of the LINE ecosystem and Kasikornbank's financial expertise, further solidifying its position as an "everyday financial partner" in the Thai market.
Thana Phothikamjorn (타나 포티캄조른), CEO of Kasikorn Line, said LINE BK is sustaining stable growth based on the connectivity of the LINE ecosystem, Kasikornbank's risk management expertise, and capabilities in using AI and data. He said it plans to pursue 10 to 15 percent annual customer growth in 2026 and expand loan balances by 20 to 30 percent, while keeping the non-performing loan ratio at 3 percent or below. He added it will continue sustainable growth by expanding its insurance portfolio and strengthening fundamentals.
