Wavebridge will begin a full-scale upgrade of its digital asset infrastructure for institutions and corporate clients from 2026. It plans to build a digital asset trading environment that institutions can use in practice, centred on a prime broker platform that integrates trading, clearing and liquidity connections into a single system.
Its strategy is to apply AI automation to the prime broker platform. It will expand its role as an execution layer for next-generation financial infrastructure through AI chatbot-based orders and trade execution, AI automation for financial operations and proof-of-concept projects that combine AI and blockchain.
Along with upgrading its prime broker platform, Wavebridge also plans to extend AI into areas including trade execution, operations automation and testing for payment and settlement and reconciliation.
A Wavebridge official said, "If exchanges operate individual markets, prime brokers connect multiple markets to design an optimal execution environment for institutional clients." The official added, "We will implement a way to access the necessary liquidity while reducing operational risk."
