[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] Global accelerator SparkLabs said on Jan. 29 it made a seed investment in Teamkai, a company that supplies and operates customer service AI agents. Murex Partners also participated in the investment.
Teamkai is a company founded in 2024 by Chief Executive Officer Doa Kim (김도아), who previously served as COO at travel platform MyRealTrip. It focuses on AI agent technology that directly handles the full range of customer service agent tasks. Teamkai provides services including deployment consulting, implementing AI agents through direct integration with internal systems, and full outsourcing of customer centres.
Teamkai has secured clients across sectors including travel, e-commerce and consumer goods. It has grown to a level close to 100,000,000 won in annual recurring revenue (ARR) within 1 year of its founding.
SparkLabs explained it decided on the investment after assessing that Teamkai's AI capabilities would be competitive in the global AI agent market, citing a task completion rate of more than 60 percent and an incorrect information generation rate converging to 0 percent.
Teamkai plans to use the investment to pursue R&D aimed at advancing its technology, raising the AI agent response rate and moving in earnest to secure new clients. Doa Kim said, "With AI agent adoption making a dramatic reduction in costs possible, the customer service outsourcing paradigm is changing." She added, "Leveraging 10 years of experience, we will provide clients with an environment in which AI can take full charge of customer service tasks and establish ourselves as an AI innovation partner that takes responsibility for customer service outcomes."
