NH NongHyup Financial Group said on Jan. 27 it visited Aeranwon, a welfare facility in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on Jan. 26 and held a "Warm Together Sharing" event with single-parent families.
Chairman Lee Chan-woo (이찬우) took part in support for single-parent families as the group’s first social contribution activity for the new year. He exchanged views with Aeranwon Director Lee Sook-young (이숙영) on social welfare issues and delivered donations for crisis pregnant women and unwed mothers and children. NH NongHyup Financial will use the support to provide childcare and winter supplies for single-parent families, and to back programs for emotional stability and self-reliance education.
The sharing event was prepared as part of a New Year, group-wide NH NongHyup relay social contribution campaign. NH NongHyup Financial plans to work in unity with all its affiliates, including banking, insurance and securities, to support vulnerable people nationwide, including children, people with disabilities, elderly people living alone and multicultural families.
Lee said NH NongHyup Financial will offer "warm finance" that coexists with agriculture, rural areas and local communities, and embraces and supports neighbors in need. He also said it will continue to fulfill social responsibility through various social contribution activities this year, listen to voices on the ground and pursue sincere ESG management.
