Global e-commerce platform Cafe24 said on Jan. 22 it supported the buildout of a direct-to-consumer (D2C) shopping mall and a YouTube Shopping integration for health-recipe YouTube channel "JUNTV", which has 1.04 million subscribers.

JUNTV is run by CEO Youngjun Choi (최영준), who majored in food engineering, and offers healthy recipes that minimize sugar and MSG. The channel has recorded a cumulative 112 million views and is known for drawing broad support from middle-aged viewers to younger audiences.

JUNTV used Cafe24’s YouTube Shopping feature to link its online store with its YouTube channel. The move enabled a content-commerce model that lets viewers check product information and buy immediately through the channel’s store tab and individual videos.

Cafe24 said the support provided JUNTV with a business environment that allows it to focus on content production while efficiently managing overall commerce operations such as orders, payments and delivery. It was assessed as laying the groundwork to connect content performance to sales by selling products featuring creator expertise directly to subscribers.

Youngjun Choi, CEO of JUNTV, said, "Through the D2C shopping mall, we can introduce products we have verified ourselves to our subscribers." He said, "We will continue to carefully select and present products that you can trust, based on food engineering."

Jaeseok Lee (이재석), CEO of Cafe24, said, "We expect that JUNTV, which has a strong fandom, will lead growth in the creator economy as it expands its business into the content-commerce area." He said, "We will actively support creators’ commerce businesses in line with an era in which creator expertise becomes brand competitiveness."
