South African major bank First National Bank (FNB) has launched a cryptocurrency investment service called Crypto Investing.
According to a recent report by South African local media outlet BusinessDay, FNB customers can trade bitcoin, ether, XRP, solana and tether (USDT) directly on the bank's existing stock trading platform. The service is provided together with South Africa-licensed cryptocurrency trading platform VALR.
The minimum transaction amount is 10 rand and trading is available 24 hours a day.
FNB explained that it launched the service as demand from customers seeking cryptocurrency investment increased. It plans to expand the list of cryptocurrencies available for investment.
