Dell Technologies said on Monday it will launch its new Dell Pro Essential 14 and Dell Pro Essential 15 laptops for small and midsize businesses (SMBs).
The company said the Dell Pro Essential lineup is designed for SMBs that find it difficult to devote substantial time and resources to IT management. The Dell Pro Essential 14 and Dell Pro Essential 15 unveiled this time come with the latest Intel Core Series 3, AMD Ryzen 200 series, or AMD Mendocino (MDN) processors. They include up to 64GB of memory and up to a 1TB SSD to support multitasking.
Compared with the previous generation, the laptops are about 11 percent thinner and up to 16 percent lighter, making them suitable for users who work while moving between meeting rooms, offices and customer sites. The keyboard has newly placed dedicated shortcut keys for frequently used functions including a microphone mute with an LED indicator, dictation that converts voice to text, and screen snapshots. The touchpad area is 6 percent larger than the previous generation, the company said.
Yoo Sang-mo (유상모), president of Dell Technologies Korea, said IT technology at SMBs, where speed is competitiveness, should support business growth smoothly and nimbly from the first day of adoption. He said Dell Pro Essential laptops offer stable performance and security at a reasonable price while reducing the burden of complex IT management, helping companies focus on their core business and achieve sustainable growth.
