XRPL begins vote on proposal to delegate RLUSD issuance, freezing powers separately
XRP Ledger\'s Permission Delegation feature, which could affect the operation of Ripple\'s stablecoin RLUSD, has entered a validator voting stage. RLUSD product lead Lauren Berta said the change could be significant for regulated tokens. The XLS-75 amendment in xrpld 3.3.0 would let issuers grant granular permissions to specific accounts, such as freezing, clawback, issuance or trustline approvals, while keeping the issuing account secure.

XRP Ledger is preparing a major protocol upgrade aimed at boosting use of tokenised assets and institutional finance. The xrpld 3.3.0 node software is due this week and includes five new features focusing on privacy, payment efficiency and lowering onboarding barriers. RippleX product head Reece Cooper said the new functions will activate only after validator approval through the network’s governance process.

XRP Ledger validators vote on adding five new features
Validators will begin voting on five new features to be added to the next XRP Ledger software version. Two of the proposed features had previously been excluded after security researchers found serious vulnerabilities requiring urgent action. According to a CoinDesk report, RippleX’s product chief Reece Cooper said xrpld 3.3.0 will be released next week and include five functions. Amendments take effect if at least 80 percent of trusted validators support them for two consecutive weeks.
