LG Electronics Q3 operating profit 781.8 billion won, up 13.5 percent

LG Electronics said on Tuesday its provisional third-quarter operating profit rose 13.5 percent from a year earlier to 781.8 billion won, while revenue increased 8.9 percent to 23.827 trillion won. It said third-quarter cumulative revenue topped 70 trillion won for the first time at 71.381 trillion won, and cumulative operating profit rose 55.9 percent to above 4 trillion won. The company cited growth in the global south and B2B businesses.

LG Electronics hosts LG AI Devcon 2026 with 1,500 developers

LG Electronics held LG AI Devcon 2026 for two days from Sept. 15 at LG Sciencepark in Magok, Seoul, under the auspices of the LG SW Council, it said on Tuesday. About 1,500 developers from LG group affiliates joined online and offline. The event included exhibitions of AI technologies from Nvidia, Microsoft, Google Cloud, AWS and the LG AI Research Institute, along with keynotes and presentations on AI-based development and security.

LG Electronics builds smart hotels with Marriott

LG Electronics has formed a strategic partnership with Marriott International to jointly develop hotel TVs and a cloud-based platform integrating in-room content and services, it said on Tuesday. The companies recently signed an MOU at Marriott\'s headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, to enhance in-room entertainment and technology platforms. The new platform will first be applied to 40 Marriott hotels in the United States and Canada, and later expanded across Marriott\'s global brands.
